About Down To Earth Health, Melrose

ASK LogoHello, my name is Rosemary Dean, and I am the proprietor of Down To Earth Health. I started training in London in 1998 to become an ASK registered Kinesiologist and practiced both in Surbiton and New Malden. I also began teaching the Foundation course in Kinesiology both in Adult Education Institutes and privately and then later taught on the practitioner course for two years in London.

2002 saw me study Homoeobotanicals and I become a Foundation Member of the British Chapter of the Homoeobotanicals Institute. Having started mid 2002 to study massage, I studied this for to Diploma Level and then gained a credit in Holistic Massage with ITEC in 2003.

Rosi DeanShortly after this, I moved to the Scottish Borders and spent the first year commuting to London every fortnight both to treat clients and to teach kinesiology. In 2004, having decided that Scotland was definitely going to be the permanent residence, I gladly gave up the commute.

2004 saw Down To Earth Health open in Melrose and a thriving practice has developed. Appointment days at present are Wed/Thurs/Fri between 8.30am and 6pm and some Saturday mornings. This ensures enough time is devoted to clients, their care during treatment and also their aftercare.

New therapies are still being studied and at present I doing a Nutrition Diploma in Glasgow and hope to complete it later this year. This is very naturopathic in practice and I am very excited about how it will complement what I already do. The naturapathic journey to better health can be exciting; listening and working with your body, allowing it to have some symptoms and not always rush to subdue them back deeper in the body can sometimes be strange to people. Our body always tries to do it's best for us and working with it by listening to what it says can be worthwhile.
